Year In Review 2023

2023 was a year where our strategy of scale and building leading telco operators continued to see good traction. Telenor Asia was on the map as a catalyst of change in Asia telecommunications, through executing structural moves and implementing a stronger, more autonomous entity to manage our Asia portfolio out of Singapore. We have focused on creating enduring value for our customers, employees, partners and vendors and shareholders. From strong market positions, our telco companies help millions of customers harness the power of connectivity to live productive digital lives.

At the core of Telenor Asia is our promise to always do the right thing for our customers, employees and society. We made progress on reducing the climate impact of our operations, while continuing to help communities keep pace with advancing technology.

Here are some key highlights in 2023 that I’m proud to share with you. The achievements are a result of the collaboration, commitment and resilience of the entire Telenor Asia team, our operating companies and our partners.

In 2024, we will continue to drive growth, transformation and operating model changes, as leaders in the markets we operate in. We will seize business opportunities together with partners, while over the longer term, build comparative advantages for our operating companies leveraging artificial intelligence and data analytics.

We will continue to lead the charge on improving ESG practices. We have established a solid foundation and momentum as a good owner of telco assets, and our job as Telenor Asia is to build on this and find new ways to create impact for our shareholders.

Your sincerely,

Håkon Bruaset Kjøl
